Field Trips
Washington County School District held their first field trip on December 5, 2015 for vision students who are on an academic or vocational track. The day was filled with frienship and fun. The vision students gathered at East Elementary at 8 am. As parents arrived with their students we were able to visit and get to know each other a little better. Two parents were able to accomany us on our field trip which was needed and it was very fun to visit with them. Each student payed for their bus ride to Harmons. The students visitied with each other on the ride over to Harmons. The students have not had an opportunity like this before which is, as a group to practice the skills they have been learning at school. When we arrived at Harmons, the students purchased a treat and we walked over to the park to play games. The field trip was a postive experience, firendships were forged, confidence was built, and connections were made between parents and other students. The kids have responded postively and they would like to know when we will hold our next field trip!
